Brazil launches investigation into dumping in exports of steel cords for tires from China

The Brazilian government initiated an investigation on Monday (July 01) into the possibility of dumping in exports of steel cords for tires from China and its resulting damage to the domestic industry. The decision was issued in a circular by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services (Mdic) in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU).
In the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM), the product corresponds to the number 7312.10.10.
“The investigation will cover the period from October 2022 to September 2023,” stated the ministry. “The damage analysis period goes from October 2018 to September 2023.”
