Brazil pork exports 59% of the volume in Aug 2021 in just 10 working days

According to information from the Brazilian Federal Government’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), exports of either fresh, frozen, or chilled pork exceed – in 10 working days – the revenue and volume shipped in the entire month of August 2021.
The revenue obtained from pork exports at the beginning of the month, US$ 115,295,542, represents 59% of the amount received in August 2021, which was US$ 195,674,733. In the case of the volume shipped, the 48,383,912 tonnes are 59.4% of the amount registered in August last year, amounting to 81,417,673 tonnes.
The average daily billing at the beginning of the month was US$ 11,529,554, 29.6% higher than August 2021. Compared with the previous week, there was an increase of 13.5%.

In the case of the volume of pork exports, measured in tonnes per day, the average was 4,838,391, an increase of 30.7% compared to the same month of 2021. Compared to the previous week’s result, a rise of 13% is notable.
The price paid per tonne, US$ 2,382,931, is 0.8% lower than last August. However, the result, compared to the value reached in the previous week, represents a slight increase of 0.4%.
