Brazil registers surplus of USD 1.173bn in the 2nd week of August

The Brazilian trade balance recorded a surplus of US$ 1.173 billion in the second week of August 2022. According to data released this Monday, 15th, by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy, the value is the result of exports worth US$ 7.180 billion and imports of US$ 6.007 billion.
In August, the trade result was a surplus of US$1.966 billion.
In the year, the balance is positive at US$ 41.856 billion.
The daily average of exports registered an increase of 11.7% in the first two weeks of August compared to the same month of the previous year, with a rise of 47.9% in Agriculture, a decrease of 30.0% in Extractive Industry, and a growth of 27.7% in Manufacturing Industry.
On the other hand, imports rose 33.3%, with a growth of 31.5% in Agriculture, 2.1% in the Extractive Industry, and 36.3% in the Manufacturing Industry.
