Japan remained the top export destination this year, with 10.363 thousand tonnes shipped, a volume 947.9% higher than the period from January to November 2022. Taiwan comes in second with 5.387 thousand tonnes, followed by Chile with 2.584 thousand tonnes, representing a 1,208% increase over the same period in 2022.
“Chile has significantly increased its egg imports from Brazil. It has positioned itself as the third-largest export destination this year and is the current top importer month-wise. With shipments to the South American country and other destinations in Asia, we expect Brazilian egg sales to continue at significantly higher volumes than those recorded over the last decade,” emphasized ABPA President Ricardo Santin.
