The Federal Government is set to invest over R$ 30 million in infrastructure improvements at the Port of Cabedelo. Silvio Costa Filho, the Minister of Ports and Airports, announced on the morning of the 26th that the Federal Government will allocate more than R$ 30 million to enhance the infrastructure of the Port of Cabedelo.
These investments are poised to enhance the operational capacity of the port, which, following a dredging process, now boasts a depth of 11 meters, allowing for the docking of large vessels.
During the visit, accompanied by the Governor of Paraíba, João Azevêdo, the minister also inaugurated the Truck Center, a 90,000 m² facility that serves as a hub for trucks.
Costa Filho further revealed that the Federal Government is exploring the creation of a R$6 billion fund to aid airline companies. The concept is for these companies to access credit and expand their investments in aviation. According to the minister, the fund will be administered by the National Development Bank (BNDES).
