Brazil shipped 15% more beef to the Arab countries this year

Brazil shipped 107,500 tons of beef to the Arab countries between January and July this year, a volume that exceeded the 161,900 tons registered in the same period last year, according to a survey by Cdial Halal, based on data from SECEX and ABIEC (the Brazilian meat exporting industries association).
Beef exports to the UAE increased by approximately 15% from January to July 2021 when compared to the same period in 2020, resulting in an increase of more than 25,000 tons. Jordan also had a slight increase of 5% relative to 2020 purchases.

Kuwait increased 1,500%, from 50.51 tons to 808.99 tons, according to data from ABIEC. ComexStat data claim that the UAE generated revenues of US$ 104 million, accounting for 2.4% of meat exported from Brazil. China remains in the lead with US$ 2.5 billion (FOB value), importing 56% of Brazilian beef.
