The Brazilian government has gotten word that Brazil is now authorized to export poultry and fish oil for animal feed production in Mexico.

In 2023, Mexico imported over US$ 2.95 billion in agricultural products from Brazil, ranking as the tenth largest destination for Brazilian agribusiness. The top exported products were soybeans, cereals, and meats.

The introduction of the two new products follows the Mexican market’s opening in January for Brazilian donkey genetic material. Since the beginning of the year, 41 markets in 24 countries have been opened.

These results are the result of coordinated action between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
