In the period from January to June, exports to India were valued at US$19.03 million, almost four times more than exported in the same period in 2020 (US$4.9 million). This value represents 27% of national sales of the fruit. A total of 23,400 tons of apples were exported to India between January and June.

Sesame
Brazil obtained authorization to export sesame to India in January of last year. The first shipments starting to arrive in the second half of the year. By the end of the year, around US$ 17 million in exports were shipped, showing the high potential of this product.
In 2021, exports have already totaled around US$ 4 million by June, but sales are mostly concentrated in the second half of the year, after the off-season harvest.
Sesame is mainly cultivated in Mato Grosso, where it has become an important option for the off-season after the soybean harvest.
India is a large producer and exporter of sesame, however, it imports the product for processing during the off-season.
