Brazilian exports of Arabica coffee should reach between 35 million and 37 million in the 2022/23 harvest (July 2022 to June 2023). Conilon (robusta) shipments should reach between 2 million and 4 million bags. Thus, total exports from the country in 2022/23 could be between 37 million and 41 million, informs the company Hedgepoint Global Market in a report.

The company’s analysis considers that the availability of arabica from Brazil has increased, taking into account that in the 2022/23 export calendar, from July to November, so far, Brazil has shipped around 13.9 million bags of arabica, an increase of 12.24% when compared to the previous cycle.
According to Hedgepoint, this increase is driven by less domestic consumption of arabica beans. This role was since then occupied by the robusta variety, with only 636 thousand bags shipped in the same period (62% drop compared to 2021/22).
