Brazil is poised to witness a significant surge in corn exports, as the National Association of Cereal Exporters (ANEC) projections indicate that shipments are expected to reach a staggering 1.658 million tonnes in June 2023. This surpasses the export volume of 1.503 million tonnes recorded in the same month last year, underscoring the country’s growing dominance in the global corn market.
ANEC’s data reveals that Brazil exported 493,385 thousand tonnes of corn in May 2023 alone. Year-to-date, the estimated corn shipments stand impressively at 9.968 million tonnes.
Analyzing the recent weekly survey conducted by ANEC, it was observed that between May 28th and June 3rd, 45.9 thousand tonnes of corn were shipped. Looking ahead to the week spanning June 4th to June 10th, an even more substantial export volume of 225,214 thousand tonnes is forecasted.
