Brazilian egg destinations
The United Arab Emirates stands out among the major export destinations as the biggest importer of Brazilian eggs, bringing in 4,323 tonnes (-1.9%) between January and September, followed by Japan with 815 tonnes (+25.5%).
Host of the World Cup, Qatar increased its imports of the Brazilian product by 222.16% this year, buying 783 tonnes.
“According to Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA, “there is a generalized upward trend among the twelve biggest buyers of Brazilian eggs this year, suggesting a tendency to expand the capillarity of the product, especially for Islamic countries, in Asia and the Americas.”
