Brazilian foreign trade surplus grows in 4th week of September

The Brazilian trade balance registered a surplus of US$ 113.2 million in the fourth week of September 2022. According to data released this Monday (26) by the Ministry of Economy, the value resulted from the earnings of US$ 6.198 billion from exports minus the expenses of US$ 6.085 billion with imports.

In September, the Brazilian trade balance accumulated a surplus of US$ 3.585 billion. In the year, the balance is positive at US$ 47.460 billion.

The daily average of exports recorded in the first four weeks of September increased by 23.8% in comparison with the same month of the previous year, with a growth of 48.9% in Agriculture, growth of 3.7% in the Extractive Industry, and growth of 26 .7% in Manufacturing Industry.

Imports rose 27.5%, with a growth of 5.3% in Agriculture, 11.9% in the Extractive Industry, and a growth of 29.7% in the Manufacturing Industry.
