Brazilian sugar exports total 1.068mt in 1st week of December

According to data from Brazil’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), the average daily revenue obtained from Brazilian exports of sugar and other molasses reached US$ 61.238 million in December’s first seven working days. So far in the month, the average volume of daily exports reached 152,601 thousand tonnes.
In December, 1,068,207 tonnes of sugar were exported, generating $428.668 million in revenue and an average price of US$401.30 per tonne. Compared to the daily average of US$ 31.715 million in December 2021, the value obtained daily by sugar exports in December 2022 is up 93.1%.

There is an increase of 90.6% in volume compared to the 84,505 tonnes shipped daily in December 2021. On the other hand, the average price rose 6.9% from the US$ 375.30 paid for each tonne in December 2021.
