
Brazil’s Green Coffee Exports Top $1.4 Billion in March 2025

Data released Friday (April 4) by Brazil’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) show that exports of unroasted (green) coffee reached $1.424 billion in March 2025, a sharp increase compared to $739.283 million recorded in the same month of 2024.
The daily average revenue also rose significantly, hitting $74.984 million in March 2025 — up 92.7% from the $39.964 million daily average in March 2024.
In terms of volume, Brazil exported 219,132 metric tons of green coffee in March this year, compared to 208,295 tons in the same month of 2024. The daily average reached 11,533 tons, a 5.2% increase year-over-year.
The average price per ton of green coffee rose 83.2%, with March 2025 prices averaging $6,501.60 per ton, compared to $3,549.20 in March 2024.

Roasted Coffee and Derivatives Also See Revenue Growth Despite Lower Export Volume
Exports of roasted coffee, extracts, essences, and concentrates totaled 7,438 tons in March 2025, slightly below the 7,877 tons shipped in the first 20 days of March 2024. The daily average fell 5.6% year-over-year to 391 tons.
Despite the lower volume, revenue from these products rose sharply. Total earnings reached $94.799 million in March 2025, up from $65.707 million in March 2024. The daily average revenue climbed 44.3% to $4.989 million.
The average price per ton also saw a significant increase. In March 2025, roasted coffee and derivatives were priced at $12,745.00 per ton, up 52.8% from the average price of $8,341.70 in March 2024.
