
Brazil’s National Secretary of Ports takes on presidency of Portos do Paraná board

The National Secretary of Ports and Waterway Transportation, Mario Povia, assumed the Presidency of the Board of Directors of the Ports of Paranaguá and Antonina (Consad) on Friday, 30, as the Union representative for 2021/2023, a position occupied previously by Diogo Piloni.
Povia is an effective servant of the National Agency for Waterway Transportation (Antaq), where he served as Superintendent of Ports and Director General of the agency. In addition, he was president of the Port Authority Council (CAP) of the Port of São Sebastião and at Companhia Docas do Rio de Janeiro.
In the academic area, he holds a degree in electrical operational technology and, a bachelor’s degree in law, a postgraduate degree in business administration and regulation of public services.
CONSAD
The Board of Directors is a collegiate decision-making body responsible for the general business orientation of the public company Portos do Paraná and comprises nine members. Meetings are held monthly at the headquarters of Portos do Paraná.
