Brazil’s natural gas production up 4.2% in March year-on-year

ANP (the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) data suggests Brazil’s oil production reached 2.56m barrels per day in March, up 0.1% compared to the same month last year. Gas production registered an increase of 4.2% to 111m cubic meters per day in March, year-on-year.

Pre-salt production totaled 1.936m barrels of oil equivalent per day in the same month, up 11% year-on-year. Of the total volume of oil and gas output of the country in March 2019, pre-salt production accounted for 59.4%.
Among all the oilfields Lula in the Santos Basin performed the best, at 909,000 barrels of oil per day and 38m cubic meters of gas per day in March, according to ANP.
