
Brazil’s Pork Exports Jump 26% in March, Revenue Surges 44% – ABPA

Brazil saw a significant increase in pork exports in March, with volumes rising more than 26% year-on-year to reach 116,000 tonnes. According to data released by ABPA (Brazilian Animal Protein Association), based on figures from the Foreign Trade Secretariat, export revenue climbed up 44.2%.
External pork sales, including fresh and processed products, generated USD 278 million (around BRL 1.6 billion at current exchange rates) in March, compared to USD 192 million (approximately BRL 1.1 billion) in the same month last year.

Among the top destinations was the Philippines, which received 27,000 tonnes—a sharp 85% increase. Santa Catarina remained the leading pork-exporting state, posting an 8.6% rise in shipments compared to March 2024.
