Below is a ranking of Brazilian port terminals that stood out in terms of container handling in January 2021 and a comparison with the same month in 2020, according to DataLiner data:
Exports
In January, the port terminal with the most container exports was BTP, with 41,579 TEU. Even though it registered a drop of 7.23% compared to January 2020, it still maintained the leadership position. Santos Brasil, second place in the ranking, registered a growth of 25.94% since 2020, handling 30,282 TEU in 2021.

Imports
The port terminal with the most container imports in January 2021 was Santos Brasil, with 45,936 TEU handled, a 16.39% increase compared to the same period in 2020. Other terminals that had positive growth, in order of ranking, were Portonave, which grew 28.08%, Itapoá, which grew 8.77%, and APM Terminais Itajaí, which grew 50.98%, to name a few.
