Brazil’s September coffee exports surge 5.4% to 3098 million bags

Brazil’s total coffee exports (green and processed) in September 2023 reached 3.098 million 60kg bags, representing a 5.4% increase compared to the same month in 2022 (2.939 million bags).
In terms of foreign exchange revenue, there was a decrease of 12.92% between the two periods, from $735.653 million to $640.631 million. These figures were released by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC).
Year-to-date, in the first nine months of this year, the volume shipped saw a 7.9% drop, totaling 24.759 million bags, compared to 26.892 million bags in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, foreign exchange revenue dropped 19.2% between the two periods, from $6.92 billion in 2022 to $5.59 billion this year.
