BRF announced it is investing R$ 670 million in its operations in Mato Grosso. The funds will be used to modernize and expand the Lucas do Rio Verde plants, the company’s largest plant in the state, and Nova Mutum.
“With this contribution, we will be able to expand the production of important lines for the company, which serve both the domestic market and countries to which we export in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. We have a robust growth strategy for the next ten years and, for sure, Mato Grosso is an important part of this journey”, said Lourival Luz, CEO of BRF, in a statement.
Also according to the company, BRF’s more than 200 integrated producers in the state should invest R$ 1.3 billion in their structures to increase their accommodation capacity in the coming years.
The announcements of BRF investments made in the states since May add up to R$ 2.3 billion. They are part of the investment plan that the company presented last December, which foresees investments of R$ 55 billion by 2030. The company has already announced investments in Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Paraná and Espírito Santo .
