Buenos Aires Cereals Exchange raises estimate for wheat harvest in Argentina

The Buenos Aires Cereals Exchange raised its estimate for wheat production in Argentina by 500,000 tons, to 20.3 million.
In a report, the exchange stated that better-than-expected yields in crops in the center and south of the country led to the new adjustment.
The wheat harvest in Argentina advanced 15.2 percentage points in one week and reached 32.8% of the sown area.
In relation to summer crops, the exchange reported that soy planting reached 39.3% of the 16.5 million hectares estimated to receive the oilseed in 2021/22. The number represents an advance of 10.7 percentage points in one week.
In the case of summer corn, planting reached 30% of the estimated area of 7.1 million hectares, with a weekly advance of 7.6 points.
