Cabedelo surpasses 2020 handling and increases cargo-handling by 70% in June

The Port of Cabedelo achieved an important milestone in June 2021. The numbers were closed this Tuesday, June 29 by the Operations Management of Companhia Docas da Paraíba (Docas-PB) and show a 70% increase in the number of tons of cargo handled this month compared to the same period last year.
According to the data, the Port of Cabedelo handled 155,387 tons of cargo in June this year. In the same period last year, there were 91,402 tonnes.
In the semester, there were 677,887 tons handled at the Port of Cabedelo. The number registers an increase of 33.09% compared to the first half of 2020.
The most operated cargo during the month of June was 85,700 tons of pet coke divided among three import operations. In one of them, the Port of Cabedelo registered a handling record: more than 13,000 tons were moved in 24 hours in an import operation by the company Oxbow Brasil e Energia.
Products such as malt, wheat, bentonite, gasoline, and diesel were also handled. In all, ten ships were operated.
