Imbituba cargo handling experiencing high volumes in May
May, 27, 2021 Posted by Ruth HollardWeek 202123
With a monthly volume that should set a new record, the month of May has been exceptional at the Port of Imbituba (SC). This is because one of its port operators reached the mark of 1 million tons handled on the site since the beginning of its activities. The volume was achieved this month by Imbituba Logística Portuária (ILP).
“The achievement accompanies the good performance of the Imbituba Port Community, which has attracted more and new cargo, taking advantage of the market opportunities and the availability of the port”, highlights Fábio Riera, CEO of SCPAR Porto de Imbituba. The Port Authority forecast is that May may exceed 700,000 tons handled by operators.
