On July 1st, the governor of Ceará, Camilo Santana, signed a memorandum of understanding with Comexport Trading LTDA, a Brazilian import/export company, for the installation of an Import Center in the Pecém Complex (CIPP S/ A), in São Gonçalo do Amarante.

The partnership will enable the development of the Foreign Trade Hub in Ceará, which will directly benefit  Ceará companies that do not have the structure and capacity to carry out international operations. “We are very optimistic about the realization of this important project for the state,” said Camilo Santana.

Comexport is present in several segments, operating in the main ports on the Brazilian coast. The company also has branches in the United States, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, and China.

In Ceará, Comexport will act with imports of automotive, executive aircraft, and equipment for industry and solar and wind farms. The projection is that the volume of operations will add 1% to Ceará’s GDP.
