The demand for beef in China remains very heated this year. And Brazil, which offers quality meat at competitive prices and in high volumes, continues to supply record amounts of animal protein to the Asian country.
According to governmental data, Brazilian beef shipments to China totaled 130,880 tonnes in August. This historical record represents more than half (57.2%) of the entire amount of beef shipped to all destinations (from 228,000 tonnes).
According to Brazil’s foreign trade authorities, about 106 thousand tonnes were sent to China in August 2021, compared to only 78.2 thousand tonnes in the same month of 2020.
Please see below which were Brazil’s leading beef buyers by market share in 2022. The data is from DataLiner.
