On April 2nd and 3rd, China will purchase 40,000 tonnes of frozen pork to replenish its state reserves, said the country’s state planner in a March 31st statement.
This is the third time the country will make a similar purchase in 2022, said China’s National Development and Reform Commission, also commenting that it is unlikely that hog prices will continue to drop significantly.
The agency asked farmers to maintain stable reproductive capacity.
