
China’s export container index to South America rises 8%

The indicator of services between China and South America within the China Export Container Index rose 8% last week, according to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE). Overall, the Stock Exchange increased by 2.5% on average.
According to Xinhua news agency, the SSE found that last week China’s average containerized cargo index for export (CCFI) rose 2.5 percent to 3,235.26, according to the exchange.
In this context, the South American services substructure led the gain, with a weekly increase of 8%.
CCFI tracks spot and contract freight rates from Chinese container ports for 12 shipping routes around the world, based on data from 22 international carriers. The index was set at 1,000 on January 1, 1998.
