Exports of orange juice from Brazil have entered an upward trend in the current 2022/23 market season (from July/22 to October/22). The increase in numbers is mainly due to higher shipments to the United States.
According to government data, in the first four months of the 2022/23 harvest (from July/22 to October/22), the volume shipped to the North American country increased by 58% compared to the same period of 2021/22, totaling 112.5 thousand tonnes.
See below the track record of the orange juice (hs codes 200910, 200911,200912,200919) exported from Brazil to all destinations between Jan 2019 and Sep 2022. The data is from DataLiner.

Revenue totaled US$ 221.8 million, a significant increase of 91% in the same comparative frame. Cepea researchers indicate that the greater North American demand for juice is linked to the intense reduction in orange production in Florida as a result of greening and a hurricane in the state.
