CMA CGM resumes vessel calls at Natal
Mar, 29, 2021 Posted by Ruth HollardWeek 202113
Vessel calls by CMA CGM`s regular container vessel service were resumed in the Port of Natal after months of adjustments, maintenance, and machine replacements by a private company operating in the port. Containers activities had been on hold since January 21 due to problems with the machines that load and unload the goods.
The ship CMA CGM SINNAMARY docked in the early hours of last Saturday, March 27, on its way to Algeciras, in Spain, loaded mainly with fruit from Rio Grande do Norte and other northeastern states that supply the foreign market.
With the resumption of the line, handling at the Port of Natal over the weekend became intense, since the ship EMERALD ENTERPRISE was also in operation, unloading wheat in bulk.

On March 24, Companhia Docas do Rio Grande do Norte (CODERN) published – in the Federal Official Gazette and on the company’s website – a public consultation on accreditation regulations required to develop the port’s logistical support areas to meet the flow of cargo ships heading for the Port of Natal.
The Public Consultation will be accepting contributions for a period of 45 (forty-five) consecutive days, beginning with the publication of the regulations, and not including the first day but including the last day.
