
Codesa: vehicle throughput grows 15% in the first semester

CODESA’s vehicle movement in the 1st half of 2022 rose 15%, compared to the same period of the previous year. Between January and June, more than 24 thousand vehicles landed at the Port of Vitória. In total, 56 moorings occurred.
According to information released by COPLAD, CODESA’s planning and development committee, March and April were the months that recorded the highest numbers, with 5,213 and 5,818 cars handled, respectively. In these months, 57% of the cargo handled originated from South America.
Retrospective
The month of April registered the highest volume of vehicles handled by a single vessel: the ro-ro ship “Canadian Highway,” owned by K-Line, disembarked 1,714 cars, 1,414 of which were made by Ford, model Ranger, and 300 by Mercedes Sprinter, all imported from Argentina.
