Global coffee exports from the four major producing regions—Mexico & Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia & Oceania—have amassed a total physical volume of 93.51 million 60kg bags during the nine-month period from October 2022 to June 2023. This performance averages approximately 10.39 million bags per month on a global scale and encompasses three coffee types: green, soluble, and roasted, according to the July Coffee Market Report by the International Coffee Organization (ICO).
The chart below shows Brazilian coffee exports from January 2019 to June 2023. Data are from DataLiner.

The study further reveals that global exports of the three coffee types, led by green coffee, accounted for 84 million 60kg bags, representing 89.9% of the planet’s total coffee exports. Similarly, soluble coffee exports amounted to 8.88 million bags, equivalent to 9.5% of the overall export volume.
During the cited period, roasted coffee’s contribution to exports was merely 0.6%, consequently contributing a substantially lower volume to the total, around 600,000 60kg bags, over nine months.
