The producing regions that extend from Rio Grande do Sul to the south of São Paulo may again suffer from low temperatures. CONAB (the national supply company) warns again of the risk of frost that could affect crops. The adverse weather conditions could mainly impact the development of 2nd-crop corn and wheat at more advanced stages.
In addition to the low temperatures, the forecast for the entire south of the country is for a drier climate. In Paraná, the lack of rain may restrict developing wheat and the 2nd harvest corn crop during grain expansion since soil moisture is low. In Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
