Copersucar, the world’s largest sugar and ethanol trader, shipped 108,906,000 tons of the sweetener from the port of Santos (SP) to China last Saturday, a record in bulk product volume via maritime transport in Brazil.
“This operation represents an important milestone for our terminal, a successful shipment that proves our constant improvement and growth, which takes us to a new level,” said Copersucar’s executive operations manager, Rodrigo Lima.
According to him, the company will be able to carry out other actions of the same size.
