Cosco Shipping launching South America service from Yangpu port
Mar, 16, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 20231
Cosco Shipping Holding has newly opened up a Far East-South America East service from Yangpu International Container Terminal in Hainan province.
The new service covers major Brazilian ports including Itaqui, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Navegantes, and Itajai.
It is the second intercontinental route connecting to Yangpu since the launching of Yangpu-West Africa service in September last year, enabling direct shipping for local cargos from Yangpu to West Africa.
“The successful opening up of new service is not only a measure of Cosco Shipping Holding to promote development of Yangpu international container hub port, but also an important reflection of capacity improvement of Yangpu, offering a new solution for trading between Hainan free trade port and foreign enterprises locally and in South America,” said Cosco.
Along with the new route, Yangpu International Container Terminal currently has calls from 18 international services.
