Cotton: exports from Brazil total 1.68m tonnes in the current season

Cotton exports from Brazil totaled 19.7 thousand tonnes on Jul/22. The daily average of shipments was 66.2% lower when compared to Jun/21. From August 2021 to July 2022, exports totaled 1.68 million tonnes, down 29.8% from the same period in the previous harvest season. The export calendar for the cotton harvest in 2021 has ended.
Shipments will rise again in the coming months with the arrival of a new crop. The expectation is that shipments will grow in the current export calendar and reach 1.9 million tonnes (+12.9%). The information is from Abrapa.
