Craft, a Brazilian multinational specializing in international consolidated cargo transportation, announced three new LCL (Less than Container Load) import services from Asia to Brazilian ports.
The first, exclusive to Craft, connects the port of Nhava Sheva in India to Itajaí, Santa Catarina. With a weekly call schedule and a transit time of approximately 44 days, this provides a new direct route (without container transshipment) for customers in the logistics complex in Santa Catarina.
The second exclusive route connects the port of Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam to Santos, São Paulo. This route offers direct operations, bi-weekly frequency, and a transit time of 30 days, significantly reducing the operation period for agents utilizing this trade.
The third route, with direct operations and a weekly frequency, links the Chinese port of Hong Kong to Rio de Janeiro, taking around 26 days. This substantially reduces transit time for companies needing direct deliveries to the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
“In developing these services, our team seeks the best logistical solutions to optimize operations. These new routes enable reduced lead times and costs for our customers, as well as reduced cargo handling, decreasing the risk of losses and damages,” stated Sadao Oshiro, LCL Imports & Exports Asia Latam Manager. An example is the trade between Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and Santos, which has seen its transit time reduced from 41 to 30 days with this new product.
The executive further explains that these services cater to market demand. “With rising production costs in China, importers have been seeking alternative suppliers in the region, such as India, Vietnam, and Malaysia.”
For the Brazilian market, the company offers 97 direct LCL import services, with 25 exclusive services from the United States, Europe, and Asia.
In addition to consolidated cargo services, Craft provides full-container load (FCL) operations, air freight, road transport, and insurance. Currently, the company serves a portfolio of over five thousand active customers.
