DataLiner data shows Brazil’s reefer exports improved in September, up 9.6% to 58,364 TEUs compared to August. Overall, for the first nine months of 2018, Brazil’s total reefer exports reached 437,879.12 TEUs, up 0.6% year-on-year. The Plate region’s reefer exports fell significantly in September, down 15% to 17,307 TEUs compared August. Total reefer exports for the Plate region went up 8.9% between January and September year-on-year, to 165,552 TEUs.
DataLiner data shows Brazil recorded a fall in tank exports in September, down 5.7% to 2,767 TEUs compared with the previous month. For the first nine months of this year, tank exports improved slightly by 0.7% to 23,818 TEUs year-on-year. The Plate region’s tank exports showed a huge upward trend, growing 45.5% in September compared with the previous month, to 1,058 TEUs. In total 7,399 TEUs were exported via tank by the region between January and September this year, up 15.8% year-on-year.
