Datamar, a leader in providing data intelligence for maritime trade in South America, is ready to showcase various innovative solutions at the 28th Intermodal trade show, including the expansion of its data coverage.
The company announced it now offers import and export data for Peru, expanding its reach beyond Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Chile, and thus extending its presence from the East Coast to the West Coast of South America.
In addition to broadening data coverage, Datamar products have gained new features.
DataLiner, a pioneering platform that offers import and export data from the East Coast of South America, Chile, and now Peru, is now accessible 100% online via any web browser, eliminating the need for installing the software on a specific machine. This upgrade allows customers to view data anywhere, even on mobile devices.
Search Records underwent several usability improvements, becoming more intuitive and gaining new features. Users can now save and rename reports, and refine searches, among other enhancements.
Datamar is also pleased to introduce Company Profiles to the market, a solution offering a detailed compilation of data on companies, such as their federal registration number CNPJ, location, affiliated groups, major imported and exported products, and the Top 10 companies in each sector, structured for easy and quick visualization.
At Intermodal, Datamar will showcase the addition of new data fields in its DataLiner service, including:
Feeder Vessel: In addition to long-haul ship data, DataLiner now provides feeder vessel information, including name, operator, capacity, calling date, and terminal, among others.
Container type: Apart from distinguishing between 20 or 40-foot containers, DataLiner can now distinguish between flat rack, high cube dry, high cube reefer, mafi NOR, OOG, Open Top, and Tank containers.
Detailed product breakdown up to five levels for specific cargoes: For products like beef, poultry, sugar, fertilizer, and tobacco, users can view each exported cut, destination country, and recipient company. These enhanced cargo categories were created in collaboration with market leaders to address their unique needs.
Freight type: Indicates whether freight is prepaid or collect, and
Charterer: Charterer information, a particularly key insight for bulk cargo operations.
International strategy
Datamar is also adopting an internationalization strategy, which encompasses expanding its presence in the United States, where it already maintains an office and personnel. In this context, Datamar recently terminated its commercial partnership, established in 1999, with S&P Global (formerly Panjiva and IHS Markit) for the worldwide resale of Brazilian maritime transport data. Consequently, market service in the United States is now exclusively handled by Datamar’s team.
