Datamar introduces new features of foreign trade intelligence portal at Intermodal

Datamar is presenting all its foreign trade expertise at Intermodal, Brazil’s main logistics, cargo transport, and foreign trade event, scheduled to happen from February 28th to March 2nd.
At the event, the company is displaying the online version of DataLiner – Datamar’s business intelligence tool, and the DataLiner mobile, a version of the system for cell phones.
DataLiner allows an in-depth analysis of all import and export operations by sea in South America, thanks to the inclusion of data on specific goods and the entire logistics chain. With the new online and mobile versions, the system gains flexibility, as it can be accessed anywhere.
The company is also taking advantage of Intermodal to launch new data fields in its DataLiner platform, increasing the range of information available to its users.
Among the innovations introduced in the system are the inclusion of the date of call of the ships in the first and last maritime port of the cargo’s route, the terminals in which the vessel berthed in the first and last maritime port of the shipment, in addition to more information on feeder ships, such as travel, IMO, DWT, capacity and vessel type. It is now also possible to see the feeder’s owner, operator, and agency.
The system also gained new data fields: NOR (non-operating reefer, information about non-active reefer containers), OOG (out-of-gauge cargo field, information about non-standard cargo), and charterer, which shows the name of the companies that chartered ships directly with a non-regular line owner (tramp). The charterer is identified through an extensive network of port information developed by Datamar and partner maritime agencies strategically positioned along the entire Brazilian coast.
Another novelty is that, from now on, the system’s data will be updated weekly instead of fortnightly, increasing the speed with which the latest data reaches customers.
