
EU’s 2021/22 soybean imports total 4.79 mi ton in November

The European Union’s soybean imports for the 2021/22 season, which began in July, reached 4.79 million tons on November 21, according to data published by the European Commission on Tuesday.
This compared to 5.64m tons in the same week in the previous 2020/21 season, the data showed.
Rapeseed imports from the EU in 2021/22 reached 1.71 million tons, compared to 2.74 million tonnes a year earlier.
Soybean meal imports for the 2021/22 season totaled 5.48 million tons against 7.33 million in the same period of the previous year, while palm oil imports were 2.11 million tons against 2.56 million tons.
The Commission said that the data for France in the report was only complete as of July 2021.
