Since December 10th, the ship TBC PRESTIGE has been unloading 24,477 tonnes of steel rebar at berth 03 of the Port of Itajaí, which SC Portos operate as a pre-qualified port operator.
The cargo originally left the Peruvian port of Pisco and made a quick call at the port of Rio Grande before finally arriving at the port of Itajaí on 12/10. The general cargo vessel is scheduled to leave the port of Rio de Janeiro at the end of its operations today, December 22.
The TBC PRESTIGE carries steel cables (rebar), a material used to support walls, columns, and concrete structures (beams and slabs). It is also being used in architecture and urbanism projects or interior design.
Flying under the Panamanian flag, the ship is 176.50 meters long from stern to bow and 27.05 meters wide (beam). The construction of the TBC PRESTIGE dates to 2014. Its Shipowner is NORVIC SHIPPING, and its responsible agent is Agência Marítima Orion.
