Government foresees temporary tender for the Port of Itajaí at the end of the month

The Transitional Lease Notice, which aims to resume operations at the Port of Itajaí, should be launched on the 25th. The information was released by the director of the National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ), Eduardo Nery, on the 3rd.
According to Nery, the notice will remain open for 15 days and will provide for a period of 24 months of operations, without a resolutive clause.
“The signature of the Delegation agreement must be signed within this semester”, he said during the opening of the 10th State Congress of Customs, Maritime and Port Law, held in Itajaí.
The measure is a palliative for the port situation; a long-term resolution still depends on a new public notice for the definitive concession of the port.
