September Throughput

In September, the port handled 1.5 million tonnes of cargo, 800,000 tonnes of grain exports, and 700,000 tonnes of imported products, mainly steel coils and fertilizers.

“The Port of São Francisco do Sul continues to demonstrate its readiness to capitalize on the current export market boom, as reflected in the positive throughput figures,” commented Ivan Amaral, Secretary of Ports, Airports, and Railways.

Cleverton Vieira, Port President, praised 2023 as an exceptional year: “We achieved a historic throughput record. This 5% growth in the first three quarters of 2024 is a significant milestone for the Port of São Francisco.”

He emphasized that this sustained increase, even on the back of record-setting figures, underscores the port’s growing importance as a key logistics hub for southern Brazil.
