
Hapag-Lloyd announces new GRI in South America

German container line Hapag-Lloyd has announced that a new General Rate Increase (GRI) of US$500 per container will take effect on 1 October.
The new GRI will apply to all dry and reefer containers from the East Coast of South America (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay) to the West Coast (Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Buenaventura in Colombia) and will remain in effect until further notice.
