On Monday, Hidrovias do Brasil announced that it did not sail in October in the region of Corumbá — where it transports iron ore —, following the forecast shared with the market for the second quarter of 2021 and the statement to the market released on October 1, 2021.
“The situation of the rivers in this region remains atypical, with a draft level below historical averages. The company continues to take all possible measures to operate on time, still in a restrictive manner in the midst of this scenario during the month of November,” he says the statement.
According to the company, even in the midst of an unstable scenario, the level of rivers in the region has begun to improve with the onset of the rainy season. The draft typically increases during the fourth quarter.
