ICTSI Rio will carry out green rail operations
Jun, 08, 2021 Posted by Ruth HollardWeek 202125
ICTSI Rio Brasil has expanded its logistical support services, incorporating railway logistics into its operations with the long-term lease of the Floriano Intermodal Terminal in Barra Mansa.
To carry out this operation, ICTSI Rio created a new company, IRB Logística, to take over the operations of the Multitex Logística terminal. IRB Logística will offer sustainable cargo handling, and transport and storage services to the economic and industrial sectors and the productive centers of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
Located in an industrial hub about 150 kilometers from the Port of Rio de Janeiro, the intermodal terminal handles mainly containerized cargo and steel products, more adapted to rail transport.
