Imbituba has new Planning and Operations Director

On August 6th, the Board of Directors of SCPAR Porto de Imbituba elected the new Director of Planning and Operations of the public port in the south of Santa Catarina. José João Tavares, known as Zeca Tavares, is now part of the Executive Board of the port authority, joining the CEO, Fábio Riera, and the Director of Administration and Finance, Fabrício Santos Debortoli.
Born in Imbituba, Tavares is 66 years old, has an MBA and four postgraduate certificates. He built a career as a public employee of CODESC (the Santa Catarina state development company), where he worked for 40 years until the company’s extinction. He served as Planning Director at CODESC while simultaneously serving as Operations Director at Sapiens Parque.
He was also CEO of the holding company SCPAR between February and December 2018, when he also chaired the boards of directors of the ports of Imbituba and São Francisco do Sul. Last year, he acted as Director of Corporate Governance at the Municipality of Florianópolis.
