The world supply of chicken meat has been limited by cases of avian flu in important producing countries, such as the United States.
In addition, the conflict in Ukraine has interrupted production in the country, which is a major player in the world. Because of this, foreign demand has turned to Brazil.
A preliminary report by Secex points out that, in the first 14 working days of April, the average daily export of fresh chicken meat was 22.8 thousand tonnes, the highest in the historical series recorded since 1997.
