The second day of the Port Performance Summit, organized by DDLM (Double Down Live Marketing) and held at AmCham, began with an opening address by Admiral Murillo Barbosa, CEO of ATP, followed by a presentation on Technologies 4.0 Applied to Port Resilience, delivered by Alexandre Eusébio, MSc, MBA, PMP®, Director of Science, Technology, and Innovation at AEAS and Director of Teaching, Research, and Extension at the CENEP Foundation.
Next was the Container Terminal Automation panel, presented by Jardel Fischer, CIO of Portonave, Fabiana Morgante de Alencar, IT and Information Security Manager at BTP, and Marcelo Patricio, Executive Operations Manager at Santos Brasil.
Rogério Magela Silva, CEO of Athenas Logistics, then discussed the Rio Brasil Terminals case, emphasizing real-time optimization with a 3D Digital Twin.
Port Automation: Investment Challenges in Brazil and Legislation was the theme of Giovanni Ross Phonlor, Operations Director at Tecon Rio Grande.
Luiz Simões, co-founder and CEO of HX, then spoke on The Revolution in Logistics with Innovation and Real Results.
The talk the Life Cycle of an Autonomous System Implementation Project in a Port, From Its Conception to Its Operation, was presented by André Guilherme Kopperschmidt, Head of Operations at Meinhardt Brazil.
Jesualdo Conceição Silva, president of ABTP, opened the event after lunch, followed by the presentation Innovating for a Sustainable Future: Exploring the Potential of ESG, by Caio Cunha, Manager of Port Relations and Caruara Reserve at Porto do Açu, and Fabrício Martins, Sustainability Manager at Portonave, moderated by Admiral Murillo Barbosa, CEO of ATP.
Operational Management Model: Ports of Paraná is Applying Various Innovative Management Tools to Increase Efficiency, Making the Structure More Productive for All Operators and Users, Which Will Ultimately Make the Paranaguá Port Complex Even More Attractive was presented by Gabriel Perdonsini Vieira, Port Operations Director at Ports of Paraná, and moderated by Cláudia Borges, Executive Director of ABTP.
Next, Roberto Claro, Head of Ports and Logistics at ModalGR, discussed Digital Transformation in Multimodal Logistics Using IoT Automation and AI.
The Integration Between the Port and Hinterland Terminals for Efficiency Gains and Cost Reduction: The Advantages of Systemic Integration Between Port Terminals and Hinterland Areas was the theme of the panel presented by Fabio Antonio de Carvalho, Security Manager at Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP), Vander Serra de Abreu, Commercial and Operations Director at iPORT Solutions, and Ricardo Maeshiro, Logistics Planning and Innovation Manager at the Santos Port Authority, moderated by Wagner Rodrigo Cruz de Souza, Port Specialist and Executive Director of ABTTC.
Marcos Mesquita do Valle, Commercial Coordinator at iPORT Solutions, presented the lecture TOS (Terminal Operation System) for Solid Bulk Cargo – iCARGA, the first 100% national system for operational import and export management.
Innovation and Technology in Supporting Decision-Making at PORTOS RS was the topic of the presentation by Cristiano Pinto Klinger, CEO of Portos RS.
The AGVs and the Future Port Terminal (Next) in Brazil panel was presented by Patrick Fernandes da Costa, Project and Technology Supervisor at SENAI-SP, André Guilherme Kopperschmidt, Head of Operations at Meinhardt Brazil, and moderated by Samanta Roveri, Port Logistics Specialist at SENAI-SP.
