After two exclusively online editions, Intermodal South America 2022 brought together, in person, thousand of directors, commercial managers, CEOs, presidents, and world-class authorities in the logistics, cargo, and foreign trade industries.
Nearly 300 people visited CODEBA’s stand during the first day of the event, March 15. “Our involvement in Intermodal lays the groundwork for repositioning Bahia’s ports in the international market. The flow of people at our stand reinforces the importance of being present at an event such as this,” explains the Business and Market Relations director, Ana Paula Calhau, who was part of the Brasil Export delegation that visited the ports of Portugal last week.
The CEO, Carlos Autran Amaral, the Business and Market Relations Director, Ana Paula Calhau, together with the Business Development Manager, Deivson Sena, welcomed the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Marcelo Sampaio, the General Director of the National Agency of Waterway Transportation (ANTAQ), Eduardo Nery, the president of Cia Docas do Rio de Janeiro, Antônio Francisco Laranjeira and the president of VLI, Ernesto Pousada, together with the board.
VLi is CODEBA’s partner at Intermodal. The relationship between Cia Docas Bahia and the rail logistics company is based on strategic innovation that aims at strengthening intermodality and competitiveness among Bahia’s ports. The revitalization of the railway modal will increase the flow of goods at the company’s ports and provide greater efficiency in Bahia’s logistics sector.
“The current administration’s goal is to expand collaborative action in Bahia. We are determined to develop ways to increase the number of operations at Bahia Organized Ports,” says CODEBA’s CEO Carlos Autran Amaral.
